Sophisticated Off-Line Motor Insulation measure and Protection unit for Motors up to 15kV
The SI-MIP6 is a fully digital unit and can be used for all types of AC motors. Designed for testing the insulation resistance of both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage motors, with two types of Minimum and Maximum insulation resistance levels are recorded.
One type is for the present month and the other for minimum and maximum levels since the last reset. A built-in programmable time delay prevents a mistaken insulation measurement due to motor cable capacitances and motor induced voltages.
Using automatically adjustable DC voltage level for the optimal Insulation resistance measurement our Motor Insulation System protects the system from abnormal low insulation resistance conditions in the motor and cabling. At a time when a fault is detected, the SI-MIP6 system will alarm or trip the motor or prevent starting.
