Challenge

A large salt refining facility required a motor starting solution for four 10 kV, 5.9 MW compressors as part of their green ecological refining expansion project. The system needed to:

  • Integrate with additional circuit breaker cabinets due to higher current

  • Use PLC-based control logic for smooth coordination

  • Maintain less than 10% voltage drop during compressor start

  • Compensate for missing thermal and starting data from the motor manufacturer

Solution

Four medium voltage soft starter cabinets (HRVS-DN) were designed and supplied, each with fully integrated PLC control. The cabinets underwent complete factory acceptance testing and on-site testing with all breaker cabinets to verify performance before commissioning.
